choosing the airfoil
My building skills far outweigh my flying skills. I have yet to fly a full-sym wing and from reading some other posts etc. I get the idea that the place to start is the Big-Stik type. My Q is "how much different is this plane to fly vs. a shoulder wing, or low wing sport type that actually looks like an airplane.? My radio is JR XP662 and can go up to OS.91 Surpass for power. I've asked several club members and they say" Go with a GP Stik or 4*" which seems to be a very plain-plane. Unless I get some input otherwise I'm off to the LHS. Thanks, in advance for those that respond.
p.s. Our field is almost always in a cross-wind, NO FLOATERS PLS. |
choosing the airfoil
Sounds to me like a Tiger 60 or 4*60 would be right up your alley. Maybe even an Astro Hog, but it is a bit of a floater.
