Hi, I have built most of the Proctor line over many years. I used to go right to Lou Procters factory in San Diego to buy my kits from him. Lou passed away some years ago. But if your kit is like any of the other Proctor kits then rest assured you have one of the BEST kits anywhere.
All I can say is that plane is a simple one as far as construction goes. Just take your time and ENJOY the build. That is one of the best parts of a Proctor kit the pure fun of building his kits. If you are going to stain any of the wood parts do it before you glue them and use only laqure stains. I used Titebond glue for the cap strips on the wing ribs as it will tighten up as it dries.

SoCalSal,

Where does one find lacquer stain? All of the stains in Lowe's and Home Depot seem to be polyurathene. I've been buying my lacquer stains from Poctor (which isn't cheap!) only because I couldn't find it locally.
