Those are a copyrighted item, you'll have to contact Sig for that.

Ken,
You mean if I had a set of plans laying around and wanted to sell them, I couldn't? I don't mean make a copy and sell them, but sell the genuine plans. I'm not trying to start an argument, just curious why it's any different than selling a used car or an old bicycle. I bought it so I should be able to sell it, right? :) Erik |

But for somebody to make a copy and give to somebody else is absolutely wrong to do, and that's what I thought the original question was. For your question you should call Sig (or whoever is the manufacturer) and ask them because it's their copyright. Ken |
RE: Looking for SIG's KING KOBRA set of Plans
I was able to purchase a full set of Sig King Kobra plans through my local hobby store. For $99.99 plus tax, they also threw in the wood and foam for the airframe and a complete set of hardware, along with building instructions. What a deal!

I bought an ashtray once for only $30,000 and the dealer threw in a car to lug it around in. Now that was a good deal too.

That's no different than selling a kit you bought (which includes the plans), but later decided not to build. You can make a copy of a plan for your own personal use (backup), but you can not sell just that copy. Nor can you give away copies to a third party. If you sell the original plan, you should include all copies with the sale, or destroy them. Hope this helps. Gary |
RE: Looking for SIG's KING KOBRA set of Plans
Order them through SIG. You'll be suprised how much they cost. Go to their web site and look under Aircraft Parts in the Catalog section. I ordered a set of Hog Bipe plans that I needed.

Wow, congratulations RZayas! It sounds like you're going to be short on building time for quite a while. :)
