1/4 Scale SIG Spacewalker

On p24 of the booklet: "Do not try to cover the ABS plastic parts......". On p23: "The covering on the wing can be extended to cover the entire ABS wingtip."

I wish to cover the total airframe with Solartex. The question is: do I cover the wingtips ot not?

Check a piece of scrap ABS to see how much heat it can stand. If it melts easily, then a sealing iron may melt it when you cover.

solartex is pretty low temp....you should be fine. try a piece like said, but i think u'll be ok. ive covered foam and plastic with solartex before, it didnt melt that. works good. probly my fav covering for big stuff. i dont know what the wing tips look like on your spacewalker, but if they are small enough, heat the covering with a gun and pull it over. that way the heat isnt concentrated like the irom would be.
