Time has come
1 Attachment(s)
Hi All,
Well the time has come to get back into the Flight Scene. After being out of it for 3+ Years and selling my 4* as well as me Extra 300 a few years ago I want to get back into it as I have a 4 year old Grandson who has TAKEN an interest in my tower trainer 40, who insists it is his and he wants to play with it, LOL. I have a Sig SE 40 that I want to finish building as it is not complete and want to know if there are any good modifications I can do to it? Also has anyone seen this plane (below) flying around in the past 2-3 years? Just wanted to know how it was/is as I never got a chance to fly it. My Trainer who is a member here wanted to fly it sooooo bad and I wouldn't let him. I told him if anyone was gonna crash that one it would be me. But unfortunately I sold it before getting it in the air. |
RE: Time has come
You SOLD a plane before you FLEW it???
Is that legal? |
RE: Time has come
No it is not! I do believe there is a warrant out for him to start building right away or he will be sentenced to three finger's CA'd together.:D

RE: Time has come
MinnFlyer - Yeah unfortunately I did sell it before it's maiden flight. Kinda upset me to sell it but rough times demands drastic measures I guess. Oh well there will be more of them soon. ;)
mikemedic2 - Call off the dogs, I mean the R/C Police. I have set up my building table and started piecing my Sig SE broken wing panels back together. Kinda rough with old CA if ya know what I mean. And my first shot of CA went on 2 of my fingers[:@] so ya jinxed me [&o] Anywho, I am looking for mods for my SE 40 if anyone knows of any. Thanks much in advance. |

RS:
For another option, Google "Bruce Tharpe Engineering" and take a look at his Venture 60 kit. Look familiar? Bruce used to be with Sig and was the guy who designed the first Four Star 40. When he left Sig to go on his own several years ago, he designed what he viewed as the improved version of "his" Four Star and made it a 60 size model. I just bought one and am gearing up to build it. The materials are awesome. Matter of fact, the whole kit simply very high quality. Check it out. Harlan |
