First KIT Boxxer Bipe build TIPS
Call me silly I bought a kit - been flying about 4 years and have never bought a kit - They come packaged a bit different than the ARF's - Ohio Models seem to have very nice kits and I have always wanted a Biplane - Always wanted to build models so here I am with a box of sticks and not sure where to start - Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated - Kit set up suggestions - tools I will need ( should have most of what I need ) - Do's and Don'ts on construction - I hope to start building this weekend :D

RE: First KIT Boxxer Bipe build TIPS
I just took a look at the website.
It looks like it should be pretty straight forward, just follow the instructions. You will need a flat building surface, if you have that this looks like it should go together pretty easily. |
RE: First KIT Boxxer Bipe build TIPS
Follow this link and download the manual to the Great Planes PT-40 or PT-60.
http://www.greatplanes.com/parts/index.html#kits Near the front is as pretty good listing of tools and supplies. Not everything there is a "must have" but it gives a good idea. Edit: I just looked at the OMP web site. I'm thinking your primary tools will be: Exacto knife with lots of blades, razor saw, and sanding blocks. |
RE: First KIT Boxxer Bipe build TIPS
do a search on this site ( the profile brotherhood . com ) ....without the spaces ....and they should have plenty of build threads in there
