Midwest Extra 300 help
Good evening folks. I have a small problem that I'm hoping someone can help with. I have two MW Extra 300s, one ready to cover and the second needing some repair. A wheel fell off and the gear pulled out on landing. This took out a few ribs in the wing. Since the other is built I can't trace those ribs to make new ones, could someone scan or trace the first 6 ribs from th root? If they could be emailed/faxed/mailed or what ever I would appreciate it. I will gladly cover any cost involved.
Thanks, Brian |
RE: Midwest Extra 300 help
Brian,
You are in luck. I am currently building the wing for my Midw. Extra. I am about to start the second panel. I can easily trace the ribs onto plain paper for you. PM me an address to send them to. I will be OOT all week, though. Can you wait until the first of April? Just curious about your two Extras. What are you using for power? Mine has a ZDZ40 gas. Weight is the enemy with the Midwest. I am doing everything I can to keep the weight down as I build. Vinnie |
RE: Midwest Extra 300 help
Vinnie, Was looking through old emails and realized I had not said thank you for the tracing! Really sorry about that. I do thank you very much for taking the time to get them out to me. I am going to get my other MW 300 out, finished and ready for a show in September. I'm going to do it up as a sponsored plane (not actually sponsored though) from a local pizza place called Primo Pizza. It will be yellow with red lettering. Should look pretty cool. Thanks again, Brian

RE: Midwest Extra 300 help
You're welcome, Brian,
It was my pleasure. Hope that was what you needed. I am now nearly done with the wing. It goes slow when you have a baby in the house. Sometimes I get up and build at 5 A.M.! You have to do what you have to do! My MW Extra will have the Klein Tools graphic scheme. I have already purchased them from Die-Hard Graphics. I was frustrated to learn that Michael Mancuso is no longer sponsored by Klein Tools. His Extra says New York Jets on it now. Oh well. (mmairshows.com) Take care, Dana |
