Kit building question

I'm just getting into building kits (2nd one) and my ins.say to build the tail feathers first which I did and the wings next. The plans have the fuse. and tail on the sheet thats on my board and I was thinking about going ahead and build it and then build the wings do you guys ever skip around on the instructions and then come back?

Yup, I build what I feel like building when the mood strikes. I'm building a biplane now and I'm putting the second wing off till the end...

Just make sure it's not necessary to have one assembly done to start another.

Thanks, I don't see any reason I can't build the fuse before the wing.

You can build any section you want first. Just read ahead in the instructions so that you don't miss a step or box yourself into a corner by missing a step that HAS to be done in sequence. I build the tail feathers first because that's my least favorite part and just want to get it over with...LOL.

I't does'nt useally matter but make sure that your design does'nt need the wings to help set up the fuse. this is mainly bipes though.

I like to read the instructions first A couple of times to see if I need any parts before I can go on with something else then just build what I'm in the mood for. If you don't read through A couple of times though it can jump up and bite you, been there. :)

Just be sure something doesn't need to be fitted to something else during the construction.

I like to start with the tail surfaces. They're usually pretty easy and get you started quickly. I build the wing next, because the fuselage usually need to be fitteds to the airfoil and the attachment points. Then I build the fuselage. If there are any little sub assemblies, like drop tanks, wheel pants, etc., I'll build them whenever I have a spare moment or two.

You NEED this. I find it to be quite useful for what you are talking about.
