you still can increase the angle on the "V" so, you can get more rudder movement.
Also add 1 in. to the rudder. re-inforce the area where the wo0od screws go in the radio comparment hatch. you can use some carbonfiber tape to reinfprce the wings! It will be nose heavy so do not be concern adding some weight to the tail!!! When you are ready for your maidden flight contact me!! enjoy!! |

Im in the garage yesterday, knocking out the vertical fin and rudder.....things are going great. I have both stabalizers built and hinged, starting the wing and blasting along thinking......man this kit is a fast builder, mix the epoxy and join the panels admiring the work when all of a sudden......HOLY CRA*.....forgot the servo tray!!???!!??!!
lucky for me the epoxy had not set up all the way yet and was able to pry the wing panels apart enought to sneek it in and rejoin, reclamp and pin.........wheeeeeeeeeeeeeew. Only problem now is there is about3/8" dihedral and I am wondering how I missed that. |

Man, that's going to be one funky looking plane. I have never seen one with the tail feathers mounted on TOP of the wing. Talk about a short tail moment. :D

Dazzler on the board
I knew somebody would pop off with that, cause thats what I was thinking when I took the picture. :D
Figured that was the easiest way to get all the parts in the same photo. |
Dazzler on the board
Sorry, have to release my sarcasm on someone, my wife doesn't take it too well. :D
|
Release away.....hahahaha
Mine doesnt either, she says its the tone of voice I use that makes it unbearable. I cant for the life of me figure that one out.:D
No hard feeling here.....like I said, I was expecting it.;) |
Dazzler on the board
I finaly flew my dazzler today with the 12.25X3.75 on the OS 46 FX, the magic flyers have been using it lately, however I was not that impressed.- Certainly it climb really well but I lost more speed than I like, It won´t snap !! It tries to sort of hover but nothing fancy, cuban 8´s are better, landing is definetly different, It drops faster.- I will go back to 12X4.
enjoy!! |

I dont know everything but,,,,,
Isnt that a rather large prop?? Im thinking an 11x6 or 7 max? Covering supplies are coming this week, so I can start that, still have to figure out what bank to rob to get the radio gear and engine, hahahahahahahahahah, so I dont see the wings getting done all that soon. Only kidding about the bank folks........ :p |
Dazzler on the board
At the begining I used a 11x7, after 3 months I went to a 11X6 which gave me more pull and better performance in general, the dazzler was fast enough, so I traded some of that speed for a 12X4, with it , I was able to do my first knife edge trial, bigger loops and better aerobatics.
Now a days I fly with a c.g. at 3 1/4 in. OS 46 FX & 12X4, maximun rudder throw; I can hold knife edge well, do 4 point roll and great cuban 8´s, inverted flight is not a challenge, spins are beautiful!! I hope this general info works for you!! |

Great job!
I am in the final satges of coverubg my first kit, too. It is a TF Contender and I am amazed at how good I feel about the way it is turning out. I am hoping to get it airborne in the next few weeks. This is one addicting hobby! AL |
