What do they mean by "matched sheets"?

If referring to balsa sheeting, they mean try to match up sheets so you end up with about the same weight for both wing panels for example. Depending on the sheeting application, they might also mean keep the two hardest (or softest) sheets for the leading edge or something similar. What are you building?

When I start a kit the first thing I do is weigh the stick balsa and note that on the end of the stick with a pencil. I then weigh the sheets and group them in pairs for use on the wing. All the balsa I use on the fuse is weighed and the heaviest is used on the front of the fuse. This amounts to grading and matching the balsa that comes in the kit. This can help when building any plane but is a must on the larger models and can save added weight when ballancing the model. I always ballance the wings lateraly as well.
