SIG Ultimate Fun Fly problem/question
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I have just attached the first section of leading edge sheeting to my Sig Ultimate Fun Fly top wing and I'm a little concerned by it. The sheeting seems too thin as the the LE section is approx 1/16in wider/thicker (don't know if the photo will show this clearly). It's as though the LE section is from the wrong kit. If this is how it's meant to be it looks like a lot of LE sanding and shaping  It doesn't conform to the LE plywood guide very much either. ANy help &/or suggestions appreciated |

That's just to give you a lip to glue the sheeting to. When it's all done, just sand it down to shape.

Thanks for your reply MinnFlyer.
I just don't see the 'logic' of supplying a pre-formed LE when you then have to remove ~20% of it and re-shape it yourself  By the looks of it a simple 1/4" strip would have done the job and needed less sanding/shaping work. Hey ho, break out the sanding bar  |
