Tower trainer 40
 

Hey guys, I am just throwing this out there: I was thinking about building my tower trainer 40 kit, but I now see that Tower no longer has these kits. I am wondering if anyone knows if they are discontinuing the kit, and if so, should I not build the kit because it might go up in value? I am not thinking of it as a money maker, but more of a last-of it's-kind thing. What do you think?

Go ahead and build it. It's not like it's a classic.

It's a very good plane, but there's nothing about it that will make it a collector's item

Build it. Tower now has the Tower Trainer MKII .40 ARF for $79 (was $59 just before Christmas) ensuring your kit will never go up in value.

I think that the Great Planes PT 40 is the same model. If you have the Tower Trainer Kit go ahead and build it.

Tower has sold the ARF model for the same or less than the kit so the kit is not a bargain.
