Does anybody have the CG for an LT-40?

Thanks!

Just put it somewhere near the front and you'll be fine. I mount so many things to mine (camera, bomb drops, etc) the CG changes everytime I fly. Sometimes it lands like a jet, sometimes it floats in...

But if you want to get technical, it's 3.5"- 4.5" from the leading edgeaccording to the ARF manual.

That sounds like me :D

I love it. My latest configuration was a bomb drop AND camera. I got to trim the rudder a little bit but it's still flying like a trainer.

Next time I'm going to use a modified wing with slotted flaps and ailerons up to the second spar.

Per manual, these settings give you a range. Beginner-3.5", intermediate-4.0", advanced-4.5". It will be very forgiving, self-correcting with the beginner CG...intermediate, a little less so...if you are a newbie you'd better be on your toes for the advanced CG though. I like to set this plane up with no dead weight so its CG is at the advanced position. Then add weight to the front to do the beginner's CG to start with. Once a pilot gets confident with that, take some of the weight out. Then once the pilot is doing even better, take all of the weight out and let 'er rip!

Weight? what weight?

I put an Irvine 39 on the front of mine and the cg came out just right with no weight..... I'm about to substitute a fults nose gear and an OS 46FX, looks like I'll need to move stuff back just to keep the cg in range...
