motor line on the motor box

i was woundering if you are off just alittle on the thrust line will the plane truly be a mess to fly or is it just to center the engine for the cowl thanks

If you are off a 1/4" or less I wouldn't get overly concerned unless it is a competition plane.

It depends on how much and how off is a little.

Off in angle is more influential than off center, but parallel to the fuselage line.

The real important thing is how far from the CG a prolongation of the shaft line is.

totaly depends on the desighn of the model. your average floater and sport model will have little effect. A racer it would be the differance between winning and loosing. A pattern ship again could make just that impercise to loose a competition. Otherwise a good trim and mix to counter a negitive effects would be minimal. Usually the onlt reason to go off of center is to make up for the build in thrust angle in a models firewall
