Need a better idea for Y harness hold

1 Attachment(s)
This Y harness is not connected to anything, I need somehow to attach it to the wing or something, as it is now it can be caught by servo arms and other stuff.

My wing center is fiberglassed, so if I put an anchor of some kind it got to be glued to dried epoxy.

This wing is already covered so I’m asking for future reference.

Thanks
Alex

one method I use to hold and control wiring is to ca a piece of fuel tubing about 1/2 inch thats been sliced lengthwise on one side, just slide in the wire and its there till its pulled out again. I find it works best with the slice to one side rather than straight up

The method I regularly use is to have the twin wires built into the wing with the single wire emerging through a hole around 1/2" dia. I set the single wire to the lenth I require and then hold it in place with 3 or four short pieces of plastic electrical tape overlapping each other at the hole.

Looking at your picture, I reckon a rough but simple fix would be to tape the two floating wires down to the surface of the wing using the same type of tape....

In a pinch, use masking tape. for a more permanent and easily managed fix, get some velcro and glue one piece on the wing and use the other to sandwich the Y wires to the wing after you've made the connections.

Thank you Rod, I don't know how that idea got past me but it sounds pretty good. I will give it a try. Velcro tape doesn't care if you have the wing covered already or not, just wipe down the area with some acetone then stick it.

I just cut a piece of velcro about 1/4"- 3/8" wide by 1 1/2" long and mount to the wing in a position that will hold the wires out of the way. Then cut a matching piece of velcro and place the wires between the two pieces of velcro. Works well, lasts a long time and if you wish to remove the servo extensions, just separate the velcro.
