Gluing Techniques

Hi, Started my 1/4 Decathlon this evening.
Wondering what you folks do when gluing with "thin CA"

Do you pin your parts together and apply
the CA to the top seam?
After completion flip assembly over and do the bottom seam.

Apply to the faces, slide parts together and do the seams also??

My joints are very close fitting and I know
CA will "wick" .......but wick enought?

Just wondering, I'd like the best/strongest
joints.
Thanks
Ray

Ray:

In a thin joint, the CA, applied to one side, will wick through and putting more on the opposite side adds only weight.

If you look closely at the off side as you drip the CA on the other you can see a momentary discoloration, this shows the CA coming through, then it "Disappears" as it dries.

Bill.

Hi Bill, I've noticed the discoloration on ea
joint as I've done them, so guess all is well. But with this size (1/4) being my first and well you probably know.........
Man my joints are coming out great.
Thanks Very Much
Ray
