Eindecker 90 or Cub

With my 4*-Sixty 80% finished, I am starting to think about my next project to build over the winter, and I am thinking about a nice and easy flyer. My two choices so far are Balsa USA's Eindecker 90 and SIG's 1/5 Cub.

Any recommendations between the two? Does either have any bad habits?

both are obviously slow fliers and the Eindecker even slower. Lots of history to both. I've a 1/5 scale J3 and 1/4 scale Super Cub. I prefer the larger version. Every Eindecker I've seen has flown well but remember certainly not acrobatic. I believe the Eindecker become the very first "bomber" aircraft although it was hand-dropped and very small bombs.

That Eindecker is cool.

Hey,

Well both are good manufactures, both are good kits.
The SIG 1/5 Cub is there anniversary kit and is exeptionaly good, goes together as quixck as you can glue and can be scaled out to the max. it is also perfect for one of the small Saito twin engines, so you don't have to worry about those ugly plastic cilinders on the nose...

Normally I'm going to build the BUSA 1/4 Sopwith Pup next, but am now considering the SIG 1/5 Cub J3 and turn it into a L4.

There are lots off threats here, do a search.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I realy like them both so I'll probably end up doing both, but may start with the Eindecker. The one consideration for the 1/5 scale Cub was the fact that it has a two-piece wing which makes it significantly easier to transport to site in a sedan. I need to figure out if the long wing of the Eindecker will fit in the car, if not, the decision could be made for me.

I've had a Cub and am currently flying a Balsa USA .90 Eindecker. I vote Eindecker !

Yep, I voted Eindecker as well, but then my car vetoed and forced me to get the Cub. The two piece wing did it...

I'll get the Eindecker eventually, just love the way that plane looks.
