i just recieved my seduction freestyle in the mail the other day. those of you that love building and innovation really need to pick one up. i have to tell you that the plane is perfect. there is really no other eay to put it. the laser cut parts fit together like a puzzle and line themselves up. there is no need to ever check for squareness because it is perfect. the engeneering is amazing on the plane. the time spent designing this thing has to be staggering. if it performs anything like the excellence that it is built like this is going to be fun.

This plane is lightyears ahead of any other plane i have ever seen.

Where?

Where did you get the kit? Total cost including shipping?

Typical Pilot quality! There is a reason why I look at these, and MK kits, before anything else.

Moot,

There are 2 places you can get the Seduction Freestyle

1) MRC: sorry don't have the web address. $160+shipping last time I looked

2) Singapore Hobby: About US$155 shipped depending on exchange rates. Email Frederick and he'll hook you up.

Hope that helps,
Beau

mrc is at www.modelrec.com

if i were you i would get it from singapore hobbies. frederick offers awesome service and even though you have to have it imported from singapore, they are very quick. i got mine in 8 days.

just search the forum for seduction freestyle and you will have all the info you will ever need.

i am still very impressed by the plane and it is building very fast. i have hardly spent any time on it at all and all i have to do is finish the fuse.

Careful about shipping all the way from Sinagpore. I have seen many cases of freight damage and insurance claims take ages if you're lucky. Get it from the nearest guy to ya. A few bucks extra doesn't matter.

Singapore hobbiees insures their package. don't worry

Once you have accepted the parcel, the insurance does not apply anymore. Quite often, internal damages are not obvious until you discover it later during assembly or flight. I've gone through an insurance dispute, which has not been resolved for more than a year, which is a lot of hassle and unnecessary stress. Singapore Hobbies runs a small operation and they can't afford to send you a replacement. Ask me how I know :( On the other hand, I buy from local distributors, and so far I always get a replacement for transportation damages with no hassle at all.

I bought a Pilot DJ-3 with Toki fan/engine and a fist full of accessories. The box was extremely well packed and protected from the vigors of the shipping monkeys. I will order from Singapore Hobbies again. They are first rate!

Shipping monkeys ? I was probably unlucky to have a bunch of shipping gorillas handle mine. LOL :D I wish I had the good experience you guys had. I was just relating my experience, which is clearly different from yours. No flames or bashing intended...

I'm sorry you had a bad exerience. My order went great and I would order from them again anytime. I guess that's because it was not me that got burned. In fact i am thinking of getting the seduction wildstyle also.

I think it odd that, percentage wise, I have had far more problems with domestic shipping than international shipping. I've only had one instance of damaged shipping and that was when surface was selected on a package from the U.K.. Even then, the damage was only to the packaging. The contents were still fine. OTOH, I've had UPS leave a box of props on my front porch that had been torn open and several of the props were actually missing! There wasn't even an attempt made to tape the box shut. I just went through a fiasco, again with UPS, where a second day air package was lost within the originating warehouse for two days. Once it was relocated, UPS tried to weasel their way out of repaying me the freight charges.

Did UPS route your package via Subic Bay in the Phillipines ? LOL :D I remember sometime back a package for my company made a big u-turn around the globe before arriving a few days late because the forwarder made a mistake. Nowadays with barcoding, we rarely see this. Phew !

No, they actually admitted the package was lost within the warehouse. As far as the damaged props, they came from APC in record time. Too bad half the order was missing ;)

Now why in the world would you say that? We aren't arguing or even disagreeing. All we are doing is telling and comparing stories about problems we have each had with various forms of shipping.
