I WIN!!!!
Iwatched and watched. For 6 days Iwatched. And with 45 seconds left Iplaced my bid. Iset my high bid at $177.68. Iconfirmed my bid with 30 seconds left. I then rose up and stared at my pc screen and the next 30 seconds was an eternity. But I won!! My bid won at $150.50. Inow just have to send some money and hope this is a reputable dealer on EBAY. But Iam now the proud owner of a Great Pleanes Super Aeromaster!
Oh happy day. |
RE: I WIN!!!!
I once bought a perfect GP Areomaster kit at our club swapmeet for $50...Then the very next year, I sold it for...you guessed it...$50

I built one a couple years back, and have yet gotten the nerve to fly it. It is a heavy plane for the size. The plans and instructions say up to a 1.20 four stroke, but for the life of me, I couldnt' find a way to fit my O.S. 1.20 Surpass II on a set of motor mounts that Icould bolt to the filewall. I settled for a Magnum 91 four stroke. Iwas just working on my check list to get it in the air this summer.
I've waited too long. |
RE: I WIN!!!!
Flea Bay can be tricky....but I'm happy for you. Maybe I should put some of my 'stuff' on there so I can BUY, BUY, BUY some more 'stuff' :)

Sure are some bitter, lonely people in the world who are just too smart for the rest of us.</p> |

RE: I WIN!!!!
Ya Dave, that is the best idea. I was just on a slow pc so I had no confidence in its ability to load that quickley. What I dont understand is people who place bids at the start of the auction. Unless its the seller just trying to get the bids up. Im sure some of that happens.

The fuselage sides wereso thick that I had to cut a window and frame in a ply area so I could mount a switch and charge jack. The sides are 1/2" thick. I didn't use the wire landing gear or the built up cowl either, Fiberglass specialities cowl and a Dubro Composite landing gear that requireda modification to the floor pan. I have a Mag 91 four stoke for power. It should be fine. D |
RE: I WIN!!!!
I see a saito 1.3 twin on ebay. I believe it is a gasser. I did ask over in the glow forum but since you mentioned putting the Magnum in there I thought I may as well ask....how do any of you think the 1.30 twin would be in this model? Too big? Overpowered? I love the idea of a twin and I may be able to win that auction as well. Ya never know. But I first need to know if it is an engine to even consider for this model.

RE: I WIN!!!!
Just a word of advice, Always look at the feed back that is given as a seller the % given is as a trader and includes his purchases so in some cases the seller has sold very few items. this is feed back I left on one seller . Only 7 of 140 kit parts in box Rest was unrelated scrap Total deliberate rip-off This was left on a 100% seller Who needs a box material left after the ribs have been removed. This seller has not sold anything since this deal, but after 1 year his rating will be 100% again. Always pay with pay pal its the best protection you can have for the above reason. Yours Paul T

RE: I WIN!!!!
Studdy those photos very closely. Why is there so much rust on the engine? It isn't a gasser, those are glow plug dirvers foran onboard glow system. They are rusted also from the looks. Also did you notice it is two glow plugs per head?
You might download the manual and spend a bit of time seeing if parts are avaiable for it. Pay attention to rocker arm brackets, all of the carb parts, and exhaust pipes. Twins with the bottom exhaust like it tend to crunch the exhaust pipe on a nose over. Most of the parts are probably common with the 65 single, but one or both cylinders isn't going to be unless Saito made a two glow plug head single. The intake manifolds are different also. You might PM W8YE and get his opinion on the engine before commiting to it. |

RE: I WIN!!!!
Never heard of cricket sniper. I guess if you are on ebay often enough it would be the way to go. The Aeromaster is my first buy on ebay in maybe 3 years. My wife and I bought ALOT of stuff there when we opened a restaurant. Always had a good experiance. But we have also read alot of the horror stories. So we definatly use paypal. BTW, I recieved an email a few days ago saying my paypal account had been frozen for security reasons. Too much questionable activity or some such nonsense. I know it was nonsense because I do not have a paypal account. My wife does. And my name or email has never been associated with her paypal account. It was a phishing trip. I hate those. I get phishing expeditions everyday.
Anyway, I think a 1.30 twin is too large for this model anyway. I will go back and look at it now with the info you guys have provided just so I may learn what to look for. W8YE thought it was tooheavy an engine for that model. |

I wonder how long these scammers would carry on if you cut off their fingers, onefor every scam? |
RE: I WIN!!!!
Hi SM50,
I built a GP Super Aeromaster back in about 1996 and powered it with a YS .91ac. I flew it last Saturday and it is very powerful. Impressive verticle performance and will fly knife edge all day. Sorry to say I don't recall the weight. It is a great airplane. Dave ORIGINAL: stevenmax50 I see a saito 1.3 twin on ebay. I believe it is a gasser.
