BALSA USA ENFORCER
Does the fuselage and wing separate for transportation? If not, how long is she??
Thanks |
BALSA USA ENFORCER
I tis a one piece plane. I don't know the length, but I'm sure it's listed on B-USA's website.

The Balsa USA Enforcer is a two piece airplane, the wing seperates from the fuselage with two bolts under the wing by the firewall. Thw wingspan is about 48" and, the total length of the aircraft assembled is about 56". The fuselage with the motor and, seprate from the wing is about 44" long. I have built five of them so far (a couple for me and the rest for a few club members) They fly great, you can fly them as fast or as slow as you want, they even handle the wind well. Hope this helps. Here is a picture of one of mine. Good Luck Ralph V |
BALSA USA ENFORCER
Sounds great Ralph V!. I was afraid it wasn't going to fit in our Focus wagon. The photo you posted looks fantastic.
Since you built 5 of them I have another question. I've seen a few posts on RCU that show the uncovered wing with wheel wells. Are they standard? I wan't to put retracts in it and from what I've seen it should be easy. Also, there are some posts of a Byro Blaster Enforcer. Is that another kit or a modification to the standard one?? Thanks again, Bill |
BALSA USA ENFORCER
Bill
The byro blaster is a modification to the Enforcer. The Enforcer does not come with wheel wells, it has a fixed gear. If you decide to put retracts in it you will be on your own, it can be done I did it. Just make sure you ballance it with the retracts in the up position at the ballance point shown on the plans. Your C/G will change when the retracts are operated (nose heavy when the gear is down, mostly cause the nose gear goes rearward when the gear is in the up position.) To help mine out in slower flight I put some sub fins under the the wing as it slows down you will be flying at a higher angle of attack, the sub fins keep it from wallowing when I slow down and hover into the wind. It's a lot of fun, I even had a couple of vertical decents to landing. Good Luck Ralph V (PS if you have any more questions e-mail me at [email protected]) Oh yah just in case you were wondering I wrote the instruction manual for the Balsa USA Enforcer |
BALSA USA ENFORCER
Ralph V,
Thanks for all the info. I'm really excited about this, especially since it will fit in my car. I'm going to order one from m LHS tomorrow and would love to have you answer some questions in the future. Bill |
BALSA USA ENFORCER
MinnFlyer was probably thinking of the Force One. Its a smaller 40-sized version and is one piece.

BALSA USA ENFORCER
Ooops, my booboo, Actually, I WAS thinking of the Enforcer, but the fellow I know that has one built his as a single piece.
I thought it was designed that way! :stupid: Sorry! |

No problem. If you want ! check out my gallery and, take a look at my big delta. It's simular to the enforcer but about twice the size.[ Wing span 82"] [Length 9 feet] [Power 30cc glow engine] It's a real show stopper. I'm working on another one just a little bit bigger powered by two 25cc glow engines. I'll post some pictures when I get a little bit farther along. Good Luck Ralph V |
BALSA USA ENFORCER
Thanks all again.
I looked at your gallery Ralph V. I could only view the thumbnails which still looked great. I'll check back to see the full photos. My enforcer is on order. It will be fun to plan the mods to it after seeing the plans. I'm not sure what engine to put in it. I have a fx .61 in another plane (Cermark F-16). I might use it and get something a little bigger for the F-16. Any suggestions? Bill |

That fx 61 will fly it just fine. I'm thinking about getting another one, I have a Fox 74 looking for a home. I'm thinking about streching the fuselage a little and, adding a canard to it. What do you think ? I think it might look cool, mabey I'll shorten the wing by a couple bays and, add a swept back wing to the tips. But I'll have to wait till I get back from the EAA and see what funds I have left. The hardest part about building the Enforcer is desiding how you want to cover it. The next hardest part is building the fuselage section forward of the canopy, but nothing a couple of clamps, tape and, rubberbands can't handle. Let me know when you get your kit, if you have any questions. Good Luck Ralph V |
Enforcer arrived !
I got the Enforcer kit a few days ago. Really looks like a nice kit. Nice job on the manual, Ralph!
It looks pretty straight forward to put retracts in it. I'm going to use the Hobbico set. I have them in another plane (Cermark F-16)and they seem to be pretty good. This one will be a lot lighter so they should even be better. Ralph, I am still having problems seeing the full size photos in your gallery. The canard version you mentioned sounds different. I'm not sure what scheme to finish it with but have to finish my Bonanza before I start the Enforcer. I've been doing a little research and think I'll put the Tower .75 in it. Bill |

I don't know why the pictures in my gallery won't work. I'll try and submit a new one. Ralph V |

Here's the finished model. It came out nice (I think)
One flight = one bad landing. While I flew it I used the ailerons but when I landed I tried to use the left stick (rudder) and landed in hay bails and hit the safety fence. Did some damage but it repaired nicely. Almost as good as new and will fly it again in a few days. I'm going to mix the left stick into the ailerons just to be safe. Bill |
