.46 in a Caliber?
Hello fellows,
After finding parts for a rebuild I realized I may be better off with a new heli (current replacement parts bill is a quarter of new heli and
Nexus parts are going extinct). Can a .46 be dropped into a Caliber without any mods? I read a thread about up sizing to 50 size
that included larger blades stronger links but I just want to use an engine I already have from Nexus. Stoene

RE: .46 in a Caliber?
I don't see why not. The Nexus was designed for 30-40 size engines as was the Cal, but most 40-50 size engines have the same dimensions as the smaller lumps. Plus I think the caliber is a much tougher heli than most 30 sizers. Just put a longer boom on it and some bigger blades and that'll do it.
I have just replaced the stock OS32 with one of the new OS37-SZ engines. With a Weston power pipe it's giving the same sort of power of a stock OS 50 !
