Default Anyone tried Caliber 5 yet? Any opinions?

I am looking into the new Caliber 5.
I like the design and is not as expensive as other 50 size helis around.

Is this a good buy for a begginer ?
Anyone could provide any other info on it ?

I would appreciate anything you know about it or advice on the subject before I go out and spend the money.

By the way I just received in the mail today my new 401 gyro with dig. servo today !!!!
I am closer to getting the heli now that I got the expense of the gyro out of the way....LOL.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I had a Cal. 50 I now have a Raptor 50. But let me tell you; you get a lot for your $ in a caliber 50. Metal clutch bell, metal head, very high quality body (not your typical milk jug material.) The heli is extreemely stable and the main belt drive system runs very smooth and quiet. I highly recomment this helicopter. It actually got 4.5 out of 5 in Rc heli magazine, where the Raptor 50 only got 4 out of 5. I gurantee you will love it. And there is now quite a bit of avialable upgreades for it. Visit www.Caliber30.com. And yes, for the price nothing comes near it, not even most 30 size prices. Get it you'll love it. I recommend the OS 50 HYPER its the best enginefor a 50 period.

I think he means the NEW Caliber5

It's brand new on the scene. And as a 50 size should be a good bit more stable than a 30.

the caliber 5 is a great heli , i have one and like it alot, the only issue i see for the first time buyer with the c5 is setting up the push pull set up, it can get kinda confusing for the first timer, if you can get some that has set up some helis then yes its a good first heli. or look around were there is a bunch of other helis for first timers as well.
