Default Kyosho Caliber 30 - Fuselages - no more confusion please

Ok all the past threads on fuselages has been quite confusing and made me cry!.
So lets clear up what needs to be done to make room for
Funkey Airwolf or Squirell on a caliber 30.

I take it mounting the servos underneath the tray and cutting off gyro support isnt enough?

Help would be dearly appreciated!

Lol. The only other fusalage to fit the Caliber 30 without any mods is the FT canopy.

The only guy I have heard of to butcher his caliber to fit into a fuselage is this guy:

But putting the Cal in a fuselage is a big job. I keep my Cal as an aero flyer and I bought a cheap Hirobo shuttle plus to fit into my Airwolf fus. Best of both worlds then

Hmm,

Do you know roughly what he did to achieve the moutning of the squirrel fuzz?
I have seen people make custom plywood servo trays for this purpose but thats seems a hassle.

only reason im clinging on to this is because my caliber flies so nicely!!!

Thanks

Would the Caliber 3 canopy fit the Caliber 30?
I saw a guy at my local club who had done that with a Caliber 30. It had retracts and all.

Would make it look nicer but stil not a fuselage!

What about a 50 size fuselage and maybe a few mods to the tail?

Sorry for the late reply,

Was trying to say a body that would cover the complete heli wether it be scale or not.

Oh! A guy at my club did that. I'm not sure if he had to modify it. He had retracts and all.

Hmm probably a bell 222 or similar version but there gotta be something much simpler than modifying a servo tray!!!

What about 50 size fuselages?? and maybe a longer boom and belt or a tail drive system (unlikely)

I mean wouldnt that work?? The blades wont look to out of proportion because its only a small difference??? and just enough room for 30 mechs.

I'll ask the guy who did it at our club and see what I can find out.

Thanks,

In the mean time I will attempt to get some templates for the modified servo tray.
