Default First Big Crash - Need Help Finding A Good Supplyer for Nexus 30 Parts

I had my first crash today and I am pretty up set about it. I had training gear on it made of plastic baseballs and 4 foot dowles. I lifted off into the wind (15-20mph) and climbed to about 20ft and started to hover. Instantly it began to violently wobble so I started to come down. About 5ft off the groung it was so bad I thought it as going to fly apart, so I went ahead and set it down. I guess it was harder than I thought because it flipped over and parts went flying. No a pretty picture. The training gear is what caused it I am pretty sure. I have looked all over the web and haven't been able to find a dealer for Nexus replacment parts. I will half to rebuild the tail, install a new set of main gear, and install new pich leavers. I like the way it fly and want to keep this machine. Thanks to anyone with links to any usefull site.

I have been there and done that. Yes it hurts you but it can hurt your wallet even more

Have you tried here:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...us&FVPROFIL=++

http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/mer..._Code=19Kyosho

http://www.ecsvr.com/mta/shopdisplay...%2C+Caliber+30

What size is the dowls?? For 1/4-3/8 inch dowls you will need to trim your training gear down to about 30-32 inches.

As youget better you can continue to cut them down to make them shorter until they are gone.

Check the main shaft.

Dru.

Default nothin said about cheaper

I didnt say anything about thinking the Nexus was expensive...Just said I was going to a bigger ship...Nexus parts are very cheap compared to the two Excells I now have...its like a cadillac and a go cart....both will do the same thing but one is much smoother and more expensive to operate.. I love the Nexus..did what it was supposed to..taught me to fly..now I want a more quality machine.

Hi guy,
Feel your pain. Had one did that. Lots of places on line that will supply you Kyosho parts. Other posts here are giving you some good starting points.
My suggestion, is your training gear. That much flex and mass will tend to give you a lot of occilation problemsm
I used a 4 foot hula hoop, with 3/8 wooden dowels. Drilled holes at 90 degrees (4 of them), cut the dowels a little too long, and pressed them at right angles into the drilled holes, Used plastic ties to sinch were the dowels crossed, then used plastic ties to tie the dowels to the skids. Real smooth.
Hope that helps. Jack

Default ronlund kyosho parts?????

tried tower for concept parts and as usual thier back ordered, so emailed an order at ronlund thinking it was filled, a week went by and no part, so checked my credit acct. to see if it went through, no deduction was takin out for parts ordered. so I email the outfit to find out what was goin on and where the part was, the guy sez they were out of stock, "but somehow did not notify me saying the part was not in stock. anyway, the owner gets back to me and apoligizes and sez hed find a part from another store and send at no charge, so far I havent seen the part. Its amazing how so many online stores advertise a certain thing then when you go to order, it seems to be "backordered, kind of makes ya wonder

Default recall grips on Nexus

becareful with what rotor grips you get...make sure they are the newer versions...nexus had a problem around where the bolt is (cracks) on their main rotor grips...I checked mine and sure enough there was a fine crack on one of them...got my replacement set from Barn Speed for $5....
