Default Anyone still fly the Dragonfly???

I "retired" my old dragonfly a year ago because I only got 3 flights out of it in 6 years. I'm just curious to see if anyone still flies theirs and if they've had better luck than I have with it.

Wow,...C to E,............It dosen't appear that there are too many folks that either still have one of these D-flys,.. or that care to talk about them...

I'm not at all familiar with the D-fly...This is, I guess, a Kyosho copter,...Is it a co-axial or a single-winger..?? Three flights in 6 years,...Did you loose interest or is it that you couldn't find the parts to get airborne again..

It's not usual that one starts a thread and ends up with nothing,...Several months later..??

If this length of time reflects the popularity of the D-fly,...You may still have a wait ahead... ................Dave..

It was a funky design. It was a fixed pitch type helicopter, but it had a wind vane instead of a tail rotor. You had to keep forward speed up or else the tail would spin out. I kinda lost interest in it and parts were becoming extinct. I got the "bug" a little while later and went in to CP helis and airplanes. Haven't looked back since. But yeah, I guess no responses means this copter sucked for everyone and not just me.

It wasn't a coax. It was a single rotor. Had CP type blades (not curved plastic) and was set up as a fixed pitch. I was just doing a search and I can't even find it on the internet. I did see one at my LHS today. They wanted 300 for it. I bought mine in 2000 for 99 bucks. I'm sure it's been in the back of th shelf for so long the price hasn't been updated. I found the owners manual in my file drawer. It's definitely a one of a kind design.
