Default nexus 46 - 32 conversion help

Hi all,
I have an old nexus 46 that I bought second hand about 2 years ago. I have moved on to a Titan but still like the nexus.
Unfortunately I had the common problem with the starting shaft shearing pins so I decided to fit a rear start engine to her to bypass the start shaft. Unfortunately i was only able to find a little OS 32 so now I hopefully will have a reliable heli all be it with less power.
Question.
The crankshaft on the 32 is shorter than the one on the 46, it will not fit through the fan. But the fan has a section that sticks out on the engine side about 12mm. Is this removable or do you need to get a different fan, anyone with a good memory that can answer this?

Thanks for the help.

Default RE: nexus 46 - 32 conversion help

The nexus 46 has a different engine mount and fan assembly from the 30 size.
