Rico:

That makes sense. With all the troubles some of the V-7 guys are having, I wonder if you might want to keep your new V-7 in the box, and maybe exchange it for a Corona somewhere down the line (but not too far down the line). It may not be a bad idea to call Lite and see if that is do-able. The way I see things going here, the bare Corona kit in the box would be easier to sell than a V-7 in the box?!?!?!

If Larry at Choppaheds, or someone else comes up with an O.S. Max or some other reliable engine to fit those 117's, the Norvell will soon become a paperweight!!

Just another ten cents worth.

Well, here's a thought....

I have almost everything to convert my LMH to be powered by a larger O.S. Engine. I got all the stuff because I was going to put an engine from an HPI .15 car I had onto my LMH, but then sold the HPI...

Maybe I should look into restarting that project.

Hi Again Rico:

Well, I guess that's an option. But it is a function of your preferrence toward nitro or electric. If you want to stick with fuel (and of course that would undoubtedly be the least expensive road to take at this point in the game), then go for it. There is a great thread or two here on R.C. Universe about a guy that put a buggy engine and clutch in his LMH 117, and it ran great at last report. I can't recollect the name of the thread, or the author's name. I will check around. Darth knows who it is, and may be able to get you a link to that thread.

Rico:

"Flyinrog" has noted that "Notasme" posted many details of his installation of a Norvell replacement engine.

Below is one link to that subject ..... and, if you wish, there are many others, you just have to use the "search" function.

Trust me, keep searching, and you WILL get the answers.

Best of luck,

Russ

Russ I should have the hawk in the air this weekend if the weather holds out, I have been real busy with work and I was waiting for the high speed servo to come in which it did today. I have set up the heli as per manuel and I have run in the engine so it's ready to go..Alan

COOL!

I'll (we'll) be anxious for a flight report.

Remember .... take your time .... take it easy .... and be safe.
