Default "Fun" Piccolo to Corona 120 ?????

Hello All,

I have had my Piccolo for about 6 weeks now.. I have gone through the RADD flight lessons and am in the learning process and am starting to look down the road to spring/summer and a new Heli. I like what I read about the Corona 120.. Is this a wise choice? As of now I have no interest in 3D. I"m really limited in my knowledge of the components. The complete package includes:

- L1-00123 Corona LMH 120 Bare Bones Helicopter Kit
- KYOG2727 Atomic Force Motor 17T for the Corona
- HRC31081 HS-81 Hitec Servo
- HRC31081 HS-81 Hitec Servo
- HRC31081 HS-81 Hitec Servo
- GWS-R4PF Receiver 4 CH Futaba
- GWS-PG03 GWS PG-03 Micro Gyro
- CASTLE-P20P Pixie 20P Controller
- L1-95874 Pinion gear w/collar 9T for LMH
- HH1713 7C NiMH 8.4V CP2600
- GWS-MC2002 GWS Charger
- HH446 Anderson Power Connectors one pair (2 Red 2 Black)

Is this all I'll need? If not, what changes would you guys suggest?

Thanks
Grant

The Corona is a great choice for durability. I would definitely swap the NiMH battery and charger for 11.1V Li-Poly's.

well, go with metal gear on the servos. it is about 7 bucks a piece more each and worth it. also, upgrade the ESC to 35amp pegasus. 20amp is too small. frankly, I would avoide gws receiver and gyro too. go with berg 5 and some form of HH gyro if you can afford it. (gws gyro is usable though)

since I already answer the tail esc question on rc group. I think you have nice little setup. get it flying. I hope you make a nice training gear to start. that will help prevent tipovers...
