Default a few begginer probelms

Hi, i have a model 117. I have never seen a throttle like it either. I am learning to hover but when i get scared and back the throttle down to much it kills the engine. Is it to rich or to lean or do i need to adjust my idle on the transmitter so it is much higher. Aslo, i noticed that when the cyclic is pushed all the way forward it seems to go down and two the left. I would bet that something on the main rotor blade is not lined up properly. Any advice?

Adjust your idle.
I belive I've read somewhere that its normal for the head to go a little to the left when you tilt it fW. Have something to do with the gyroscopic effect during flight....
