Default Building The Corona

I just received my brand new Corona. Now I have to build the thing. I'm told that LMH provides a great manual, but I'm wondering if there are some building tips from some of you pros out there. This is my first experience and I want to build a top notch heli.

Can't wait to fly this thing!

Agree - the manual is one of the best arircraft kit manuals I've ever come across and one of the great things about the Corona is that you don't need to make any changes to the stock kit to get it to fly well - LMH got it right first time. About the only "mods" people make are often to change the stock landing gear for that from a JR Voyager E and this involves lengthening the back support which is easier to do at build time than afterwards (though I did mine afterwards).

The only other changes people tend to make are to ditch the Electro Fusion motor (as it has limited life and many over heating episodes) and replace with a Kyosho Atomic Force ($20 from Tower) if staying brushed or put in a brushless motor combo from the start such as the Mega 16/15/3, the Astro 803 or Hacker C40.

tenover,

Search the archives in "the other place" (if you know what I mean). On that other discussion board someone posted a dimensioned picture of exactly how the rear JR mounting plate should be.

Thanks for all of your help guys... I did buy the Mega brushless and I am definately interested in the alternate landing gear (training wheels) Is this something one can make, or buy?

I would definately recomend training gear as it does more than allow you to slide around on the ground easily, it has saved expensive parts of my carona from damage.
