I just ordered two 7 cell 3000 nimh packs for my carona here is a link to them incase that helps. (http://www.batteryspace.com/product....ddtocartmess=1)
i have a tritan charger, how many amps can i charge these at? i charge my nicd's at 5 amps with no problems. can i charge my nimh at this high of amps?

I hate to tell you this but I had pretty bad luck with those same packs. They got pretty hot charging them at 1C which is bad for NiMH batteries. 5 Amps would be out of the question IMO.

In addition, they have a pretty high internal resistance and pretty steep voltage drop off while discharging. If your motor is marginal, you may see reduced flight times. In fact, with these packs and an AF motor in my Corona, I could only manage 2-3 minute flights. They were okay with the stock Fusion motor though.

Good luck!

I charge my 6 cell 3000 mah packs at 3 amps max. They get warm (but not hot) to the touch when fully charged.

you can always build a battery holder with a big computer case fan that blows air over the batteries while they charge/discharge.. a friend of mine did this with some PVC and an old case fan.. works fine.. just an idea if you batteries are get hot during charge/discharge...

how hot is safe for a nimh pack? i got mine today and charged them on my tritan at 3 amps and they got 105 F. is that temp ok? and how hot can they get without damaging them.

and the first charge on the pack i got a solid 10 min of flight time could have went 1-2 min more. as these packs get broke in will my times increase? im new to all this nimh stuff lol.
