RE: gas conversion to electric

Yup, I just finished converting my 110 to electric. It was REALLY easy to convert.

Here is what I did:-

Cut out a new lightened ply crutch with 6mm carbon rod spine stiffener (I also have a full carbon crutch I made to try).
Installed a MEGA 16/15/3 brushless motor with a Phoenix 25 ESC.
Powered with a 7cell KAN 950 NIMH pack.
Only genuine part is a Lite machines 32pitch 9 tooth motor pinion (cos I couldnt get one anywhere else).
Cut down the canopy to half the weight.
I also swapped the arlton gyro for a HH gyro.

All up weight including batt pack is 730grams (25.8oz). 6-7min flight.

I can send you a PDF plan of the new crutch if you want.

S.M.

Hey guys call Lite Machines they have a complete conversion kit specifically for this. Your flight times will be longer and bonus will be there's so many people already flying the Corona that tech info is readily available.

Ive done the conversion myself. I made my own crutch. It has an adjustable motor mount which could be used with a belt drive with a minor mod. Not only did I redesign the crutch I also made it so that the mainshaft have be a little longer. My heli is super stable as a result. Its a quick change over when I want to fly gas also I just unbolt everything and bolt it over to the other crutch. About a half hour of work and Im flying electric.

Rog,
I don't think it's listed on the site order this part number 44108 ($89.99) it includes the new crutch, tailboom, long MR & TR blades and the piezo gyro conversion. After that you will need the motor & accessory pack part number 29619 ($79.99) it includes the 7 cell motor, accessories pack including pinon, and the controller.
Hope this helps,
Larry

RE: gas conversion to electric

$170.00 bucks!!!! Dont forget you will need to order a charger and a couple of battery packs another $150.00 (on the low end) $320.00 plus whatever shipping will be. oops I forgot, you will need a Gyro also. The gyro conversion kit is not the gyro. another $70.00 for a decent one.
if you do this conversion this route, you will be out of over $400.00.
