Blade Colors and Rotor Visibility

I was wondering what blade colors you folks were flying. I notice that Litemachines offers some nine (9!) different blade colors these days.

I am most interested to know if some blade colors are more visible than others in flight. I think it would be very helpful to me as a pilot, not to mention very snazzy looking, if I could actually see the rotor disk in flight.

I have flown black blades with yellow tips and white blades with red tips, but both rotor disks were essentially invisible except at close range hover.

Any suggestions?

i fly with the trans blue ones. They can be seen ok and with white balance tape it causes a nice circle effect. :D

Any pics of the trans blue? I have been wondering what the various transparent blades look like both spinning and static.

Aw, common... If you have that thing trimmed properly you should be able to get a good couple pictures during your hands off hovering. :) ehehehe.

No problem. Whenever you can get some shots would be great. I would love to see how the blades look.

Make your self a set of night blades.
It's one I plan to do some day.
you need two LEDs two watch batteries and some metal duck tape (to run as wire). Drill a hole the size of the battery in the base, and two little holes near the end of the blades for the leads of the LED to go to.
Or just buy them already made.
Then you can fly at night. :D

That sounds like a fabulous idea. I always wondered what people were talking about when the referred to night blades. I think I will give that a go with some of my older blades. :)

Thanks again,

Transparent blue is hard to see. To me, white is the best

can't see the blades as much as you can see the white balance tape.
