LST2 With LRP + hops, Need help on pricing
Hello, Well i have an LST2 that i do not use anymore at all. I am just not into it, i 100% rather eletric, its just not for me. I have put in about 1,000$ total into this car and i have been scared to sell it because i feel like i would just of lost so much money, But it just sits in the garage now and might as well sell it i guess. I don't really know what price i should be trying to sell it for, I added a new LRP motor to it, and added a bunch of other hop ups. I would sell it with an ez starter also, plus few extra stuff that i have laying around for it (like a set of wheels, starter, etc). There aren't any problems that im aware of btw with the truck, it's just too much of a hastle for me, not into nitro anymore at all once i got an eletric rc lol.
How much do you think i should be trying to sell this beast?

Hi. Sadly in this hobby and much like a lot of others... you'll NEVER get back what you put into it.
Honestly I would shoot for around $350 if you were thinking eBay/Craigslist BUT you might have a better chance by trading your LST2 for something electric.
If you do decide to stick with selling it my advice is to take the time to clean up the outside from dirt, oil, grass etc and take some good clear pictures of the truck and would comes with it. That will help buyers be more interested in what you selling.
It is kinda sad how the nitro scene has dropped significantly and most of us just dont have the time to mess with nitro anymore [&o]
Good luck on what you decide

As has been said, resale value is weak. If it has wheels or floats, consider it a money pit. A pristine never ran LST2 could bring $450, so I'd expect $250-$300 to be about max what you'll get for a used one. I paid $450 for an lst2 with new engine and a spare new engine, and enough parts to build a second truck. My LHS still has a couple NIB LST2's selling for $520 while the XXL is $620.
