Looks good enough to me.those pearls and special paints have to be applied carefully and consistently to get good results. Practice is the key

bah - I say good job on a first - hell even 3rd attempt - thats a nice job
Besides - if your totally unhappy with it - you can redo the outside in "mud" color

I cant see anything wrong with that at all
excellent attempt for first time
I would not grumble at that if you gave me the shell
As they say practice makes perfect and you do not have a long way to go

If you think thats crap...I am glad I can't post pics of my first paint job ever on a RC buggy. The flames look pretty good and looks like the blue is sprayed unevenly, but as someone else said.... I have read that pearls, color changing paint, chrome, etc. is difficult to get right.
I have a LST Racer body that I finally have an idea for...just need to order the liquid mask, paint, etc. and go for it. Hopefully it will not be too far off from my idea.
I definitely think it could have come out much worse. I hope this is what you were looking for....I am trying to NOT say Good job! LOL

That spray job looks fine to me.
Far better than I would achieve on my first attempt with the airbrush, i am sure. I have just sprayed a new F150 supercrew shell, i took the easy option of internal flame decals and a single (silver) colour scheme.
The first shell I painted was for a T-Maxx, I went for blue with white viper stripes. The result was complete ****e with more paint bleeding than I thought was possible.
I will post a pic of my new silver shell when I get round to downloading the camera.
Adz.
