Losi Lights, Pics Inside (56K GO AWAY!)
Thanks to some threads on this site I built some lights for my truck. Not sure if they will hold up or not but had the LED Diodes, wires, cuircut box, resistors, everything I needed already to build. I was going to make them for my 1/10 touring car never got around to it, sold the car. My LST has been out of commission for a while, waiting on $$$ to get parts I need so decided to kill some time and make them for the truck.
In the front I have 2 Super Brite White, 2 Blue, and 2 amber. In the rear are 2 red all powered by a 9V battery. The pics don't really give it justice, the lights are super bright. I drilled small holes in the body and coated them on the inside with hot glue, not sure how long they will last but it was a good learning experience building them.

Thanks for the feedback. I think the resistors I used were 220 for each in the front the front and 340-360 for the rear? I got them so long ago I can't remember exactly. I used an a LED Calculator to determine how much resistance needed.
The whites are 12000 MCD (SUPER BRIGHT!), the blue LED's are 5900 MCD's, the amber puts out 3000 MCD and the red are 5000 MCD. These were bought from [link=http://www.lsdiodes.com]http://www.lsdiodes.com[/link]. I highly recommend them, each LED had a spec sheet that helped determine the resistor needed.
I copied pretty much everything from this thread: [link=http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?s=5c0ff7ee68a2f8bd408335926ae2105d&threadid=241476&perpage=40&pagenumber=1]http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?s=5c0ff7ee68a2f8bd408335926ae2105d&threadid=241476&perpage=40&pagenumber=1[/link] There is a list of everything needed and step by step instructions with pictures.

yeah i made my own for my tc3. i used 12000MCD aswell (man theyre bright!) i also got some 12000MCD red ones, which are alot harder to come by i think. i didnt use resistos though - i used a series circuit to split the voltage 3 ways, so they all got just under 3v
why 3 way may you ask when theres 4 led's ? well not easy to explain but basiicaly the two front LED's were number '1' and '2' in the series circuit and then the two rear red LED's were in a parrelel circuit as number '3' (so they both got the same voltage).
basic circuit diagram attached. basically i couldnt be bothered with resistors (and the battery would run out quicker) so this was the obvious choice. hopefull if you have a very slight grounding of electronics u can understand the diagram and how they all get 3v.
damn, 12000 MCD is just so cool! just take it into a dark room and it just lights the whole place up, and your like 'wth this is a single LED!!'

thanks, i wasnt sure whether it was infact a clever idea of whether i was just being Captain Obvious?
just what came to mind with me first, couldnt be bothered with resistors
