It would be worth your taking apart to look anyways, if for nothing else to replace the phillips head screws with cap screws. Im not sure of anyone elses engine, but when I took mine apart, the backplate screws were not tight at all.

Mine were loose as well but now that I think of it the LHS had it apart once to remove what was left of the washer and probably didn't re-loc-tite them.

As far as having a washer in truck #011331 you're right on the cusp of current knowledge about where they stopped putting it in so I'd check to be sure.And pleasew report back to us so we know for sure if you did or did not find it.TIA

Good Luck

It still has the warning label on the heatsink, I do love a nice clean virgin

Fire that puppy up.

dschaening; I don’t know what medication your on but you need to adjust the dosage cause the current levels are not doing it for you , of course the red ones are faster. I have never heard of Ferrari blue [:-]

And yes by pure chance my LST happens to be red. Well yellow if I ever get the balls to paint my new bodies.

Remove the engine from the chassis .Take off the rotostart backplate and then the engine backplate and inspect the insides of the engine.Look at the sticky thread at the top of the page here for pictures of what you're looking for and some tips.You should heat the screws BEFORE you try to remove them as they used red loc tite and they'll strip if you don't.

Good luck and if in doubt ask here or check the manual that came with your truck.Lots of good info there to be had

Your on the Right track, If you have ballend drivers just take the Engine out from the Top and take off the Backplate and Its right There, If You Get stuck on Something Look On the TREAD at the Top of the Page (washer) and You should find some Pics in there. Later, Jason

What part of N S are you in?

Even if you manage to get the Phillips head screws off the roto start without destroying the heads ( I didn’t) replace them with hex screws to avoid any hassles later on.

Note to Pinolelst;
A while back you gave us a heads up about JLC Media player. I have a couple of xvid’s that use a particular audio compression and I couldn’t get anything to play them. I downloaded JLC and Hey Presto it worked.

Thanks again for the access to your wealth of knowledge.
