Hi, I need some help with my lst2, yesterday the engine started to stall for no reason, I changed the glow plug and mess with the neddles and the problem continue, today I took a closer look at it, and realized that the problem is that the clutch bell is stuck, so I took the screw out to check the clutch and the bearing and everything was ok, so I noticed that the problem is when I screw the screw in the clutchbell it become stuck, what is the problem? can somebody help me? thanks in advance.

RE: Clutchbell screw issue
You can try removing one of the shims on the shaft under the innner bearing. When you put it all back together, the shaft should poke out slightly further than the bearing. This way, when you screw the screw back in, the washer isn't forced against the bearing. Also check the springs and clutch shoes to make sure they are not rubbing against the bell. YOu

RE: Clutchbell screw issue
thanks a lot.. the clutch bell isnt hitting the clutch shoes or the springs because with the screw out it would roll free for like 1 minute.. I noticec that my engine have tree washer but if I remove them it still pushes the washer on the bearings, is my crankshafth too short or something? I have a LRP .28 spec III in it.

I had the same problem. The bearings would seize up and then be fine until they seized for good so I replaced them and no more problems now

There aren't many things that can cause the clutchbell to not spin freely. It's either too many or too few shims on the shaft, bad bearings, or bad clutch springs.

RE: Clutchbell screw issue
the problem is the screw is too short and locking the clutchbell to the motor. it happened to me with a 24-7 motor. just buy a longer screw and shim it acordingly and your good to go.
