Yeah, props to 2d, he has tried just about everything out setup and parts wise and is always ready to share knowledge. He also puts in the time to care very well for his equipment, a lesson we could all learn from! My only question to anyone is ... has anyone made or come up with a center diff option for the lst2 yet?

some of the usual tips that are posted everywhere on here. Dynamite engine brace, Forward only tranny conversion with gear swap, titanium turnbuckles. These are the biggest actual improvements for durability and little bit more topend. If you get alum. steering knuckles, get the ones with the little dog leg bend where the linkage attaches so you don't loose steering.(can't remember who makes them right now). If you steering is getting weak, add a few more servo saver clips, or just get the ones from ae for the mgt. that fit your servo of choice and use the bottom of them and tops from lst2 and ae clips. Gave mine better steering with hitec 5625 digital servos. Make sure fuel filter isn't pinched btween tank and engine as the vibrations can cause it to chew threw tank or header. LOCKTITE THE DRIVETRAIN SCREWS! Clean truck regularly, especially around bearings and any moving parts. Change and maintain airfilter twice the amount you think it needs, your engine will thank you. If you have the money, get many kinds of tires as different surfaces need different styles. Check, clean and maintain cvd's regularly, grit loves to eat slowly away at them causing slop and premature failure. Change wheel bearings often, at a buck apiece from avid, it is cheap insurance against a short day of running. Check wheel hex pins now and then, they break easier than you might think, and also a good time for cvd and bearing maintenance. Clean the diffs and change fluid regularly, lets you inspect them for where and broken pins inside. Will put up more if I think of them . Most of all, bashing or racing, HAVE FUN!!!

While going over my new LST2, I've noticed the centre drive shafts seem to only just reach the centre cups (see photo). This seems odd to me, in that I think it will wear very quickly. It looks like they are 4 - 5 mm too short. Is this normal?

Disregarding the hex size, does anyone know if 40 series wheel and tyres fit straight onto a LST2? I'm looking at [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/11541]THESE WHEELS[/link], with [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_58/products_id/3531]THESE TYRES[/link]. Thanks in advance

For 40 series wheels you need 23mm hex's but yes they work and look great as well as they preform. Here is some pics of mine

2D, what are the P/N's for the tires and wheels in the photo? I like them, they look great.

They are Mugen MBX5-T wheels and Panther Switch's.
