RE: wheels

Yes they will, all wheels with a 14mm hex will fit on the LST, to make it lighter alot people fit Bowties which are alot lighter but in my opinion are too small.

RE: wheels

Sportwerks carb, has different sized inserts so you can use a small one for great low speed torque or what I did, the largest insert and just let er rip.

RE: wheels

When you put lighter wheels/rims on the lst you will blow the revo away

I've got two friends with Revos and in a drag race they'd get me slightly off the line but once we get past about 20 feet or so it's all over for them.I put bowties on this weekend and noticed our top ends are more closely matched but due to the smaller dia. tire I'm smoking them in the low end now.

mine is just the opposite i get him off the line but then he catches up and we stay even i think it was only because it was wet and i was spinning the tire the whole way because i noticed my lst pulling to the right real bad. are the aluminum a arms lighter then the stock plastic ones. also what is a good axle Ive already broke one and i want to go to a more heavy duty axle

RE: wheels

MIP do heavy duty CVD's and axle's for the LST but they are expensive. I don't think any other companys make upgraded axles.

Pine Hole, Tell me about those king kong tires on the lst. I don't even have my truck yet and bought a set. Likes /dislikes?

King Kong Tires ?? If you're referring to the 40 series bow ties they're smaller in diameter and lighter than stock by about 1 1/2 lbs.The "Meats" we all just bought are slightly larger than stock and even though the center broke out of one of mine they replaced it post haste (with a new PAIR) so I have no real complaints.I did like the lesser sidewall of the "meats" over stock but then again I like the stock wheels/tires for their pillow like ride when bashing or particularly climbing rocks or steep loose dirt.
So many tire/wheel combos so little time [&:]

went to my local lhs and picked up a set of the mip axles seems to be working ok. still looking for suggestions on how to lighten this fat pig up

RE: wheels

The easiest way is to find lighter wheels and tires. The LST's stock wheel/tire combos weigh over a pound apiece [X(] I can't believe the change it made by going to 40 series bow ties and velocity rims.If only they made a set closer to the LST's stock diameter so as not to lose any top end

RE: wheels

i just bought some new 40 series 23mm. wheels and moab tires. the moabs are the same height as the stockers. i decided to take my truck to the track and finish my last 2 tanks of fuel. the tires work great on loomy conditions and on tight well groomed blue grooves they worked good. they tend to skip in the corners a bit ill bet if you played with the shocks and toe in or out they would be a little better. and they are a ton lighter than stock tires. for the tracks i race on they will work good.
