Aluminium Diff Case Help
OK, I'm as new as they come to this hobby, I just bought a LST and I'm assuming from all of the forums I've read that I absolutely have to put in aluminium diff cases in my LST. Be honest, how hard is this to do? I wish somebody provided step by step instructions on how to do this. Please help!

RE: Aluminium Diff Case Help
Very easy, just unscrew the first 2 screws on the front and back bottom plates (the screws closest to the bumper), remove the 4 screws from the front and rear bumper plate, then slide out the two pieces that hold in the diff case, then remove diff.

RE: Aluminium Diff Case Help
Thank you skyodyssey and captanabolic, I really appreciate the help. I'm sure it's a remedial task, but I gotta start somewhere! Thanks again...

RE: Aluminium Diff Case Help
Trust me it is pretty easy. I am 15 and I figured out when I put my diff cases in and it wasen't hard at all. Just gotta remember where everything you took off goes when you put it back together.

RE: Aluminium Diff Case Help
Looks like I'll be doing the diffs this weekend, I put in an OFNA fail/safe and the RPM secondary gear cover last night. I've got 5 tanks through it already, so I'm assuming the break in period is just about over.

RE: Aluminium Diff Case Help
Run another three or four before you start leaning it out. just to be on the safe side.

RE: Aluminium Diff Case Help
Yep put some more tanks through her before you start going for a performance tune.

RE: Aluminium Diff Case Help
I just picked up a Duratrax temp gauge, so I'll be able to tune more effectively. What temp ranges are good to go for, as far as an idleing temp or racing temp. BTW, I did the front diff last night, and I'm here to say that yes, it is true, for any other novices out there, it's pretty easy to do, just scary when you start taking off those first pieces!!! ...and don't forget to remove the lower shock before trying to remove the CVD's.
