Does anybody know if Team losis new monster truck Aftershock, has some of the same kind of durability and power that the lst2 has? If anybody also has any pictures or movies please post.

as soon as i sell my revo i will be able to tell ya!!!!!! i have a lst2 and it is great so i figure the aftershock has to be better then the revo!!!! sorry revo oweners not a big fan!

hey gmaster there have been a few threads with alot of info we have researched. and basically its a mildly downgraded LST1

When i look on the web. it does mildly downgrade of the lst, Also doesn't have reverse, and only two channel radio.

I've got a couple of buddies that are planning on running them. It look like it's as close to a kit version as we are getting. Sell the RTR wheels/tires, engine, radio, and "throw away" parts for whatever you can get and then start building. Alot cheaper than buying an LST2 just to replace everything anyway.

it looks now like it replaced the LST1. the LST1 is no longer on their product page.

I'm glad that Losi relased the aftershock. That way, us LST1 guys wont be left hanging, and be forced to buy the $140 LST2 upgrade kit, (which IMO is totally unessicary) Since I have never had a single problem with my LST1 Axles and driveline in the almost 2 years I have owned it..

they arent discontinueing parts...

if they still make parts for my old xx-cr(and surely earlier than that even), why would they stop making LST1 parts?

Well sorry I dont have 15 years of Losi experience under my belt like you do!:eek: Many other companies that I know of throw you under the bus once the "newer" verison settles in.. And not just in the RC industry..

typicly thats the retailers that throw you under the bus heh. only special ordering parts for discontinued cars.

it is a pain. I had hoped the internet age of massive warehouses full of parts would somewhat reduce this, but based ont he XXCR; no such luck, even they special order.

isn't the aftershock pretty much the same truck as the lst 1 it looks like it to me! or is there any difference? and if it is the same basically they just renamed the lst 1 then correct. i love my lst 1 its my first gas rc truck.

It's a minorly downgraded LST1 pretty much. Targeted towards the people that want an LST but dont want to have to pay the LST2 price..

a smart move would be to get the Aftershock, then get the LST2 upgrade kit and slap it on. i might as well do that if i get this truck.....(or the ss4.6x :D

it is an interesting idea. if you go by retail prices, you could do 400+140=540 vs 650 for the lst2. and only be missing the engine and the radio. for 110$ your darn close to a nice new LRP engine, and the radio, well it is what it is.

then again, you can get the LST2 for 580 pretty easily. and Im betting the aftershock gets sold for 350$ if you look around. 350$ will be quite the deal, with a nice prepackaged upgrade pack for 140$ available.

aznracer, good idea with upgrading aftershock to LST 2. I have an LST 1 that I bought used, in good shape for $325, i was gonna sell it for a revo 3.3, but i've had excellent luck just upgrading broken LST 1 parts as needed with new LST 2 parts from ebay and now i'm glad i stayed with the Losi.

Let's keep in mind that the Aftershock would be a great first Team Losi buy for people like me that is looking to get a first Team Losi MT :D

no the engine IS diffrent, i think it is a 3 port instead of 8 port that the lst 1 engine is.

Where can a LST2 be had for $580.00. Im just curious because im thinking about getting one in the near future and i would like to find a good deal. All the ones i see go for $650.00. Thanks

Look at Killerhobbies (www.killerhobbies.com) or Amainhobbies (www.amainhobbies.com). They both have the LST 2 for under $580. I just got mine yesterday from my LHS. They went $600, so I decided to spend the little extra to support my LHS.
