Dont know, havent heard anything at all really, but i havent really been listening either. What i have heard is that the LRP Z.28R is one bad **** of an engine and is only 165 smackers

RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
Haha I know the LRP 28 Spec 2 was good..
I should give the Spec 3 a try... and i'll get a new pipe, too. |
RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
spec3 is very new, might still be hard to find. spec2 is obviously also good.

Well i have to jump on the bandwagon too the lrp.28 spec 2 is sweet. This will probably be the only engine i ever put in my lst2.The spec 3 should be really sweet. There is a vid of one on lst central check it out.

RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
How about the Picco 28? It any good?
|
RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
yeah; LRP seems to still be more popular for whatever reason.

Wow.. wheelie machine.

RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
he asked about the picco; which is a good engine. probably not better than the LRP, but people do use the picco still. so it must suit some purpose.

RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
RB928 - another guy on another forum runs the nova 28 and he has the rb928 in another lst2...I saw vids of both and they are very close...the rb screams, and of course the nova is insane - those two would be the strongest, fastest, without a doubt. I have heard the picco is a bit finicky to tune, but is pretty strong. The LRP 28 seems to be everyone's fav at the moment..I have not tried it, so I guess I should look at it too...

Honestly his video of the RB 929 doesn't look too spectacular IMO.... I can show you a few videos with other motors that are just as fast...... And sorry I was just playing aropund..the Picco will tune good once it has a gallon or so thru the motor....people alays expect way too much from a new engine.... |
RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
I've got the Spec 2 in my Savage, and it is a really good engine. I was very surprised with the power. In my three speed Savage, it's almost too much power for technical driving. Very hard to hold on the track... but then I'm not the best driver in the world either ;)
What engine is the spec 3 based on? The spec 2 is just a rebadged SH Prospec, but they don't have an engine that is equivalent to the spec 3 do they? Who makes it for LRP? |

Now that you tell me the rest of the story it makes sense... But why on earth did the guys make such a big deal about the video ? they were blinded by the fancy motor and forgot to look at the performance.... anyways make a new video showing that thing running properly please |
RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
What is the mapping for the XTM engines to the LRP engines? On hobbypeople.net they list the 457, the 28 and the 24.7. Since the XTMs appear to be the only engine in this line readily available in the US (outside of eBay), its probably the way I'll go, but I'm not sure which engine I should get.

RE: So... what are the top runner up engines ATM?
XTM 457 is like a LRP Spec II, both engines are a excellent value!!!
