Is a donation to MAAC tax deductible?

In the maac mag it shows 121 members donated $2859.52.
the breakdown is:
M-museum, T-team travel, C-competition, G-general

Museum got 52 donations
General got 21..
Competition got 13..
Travel got 13...
MTC got 7..
TC got 7..
MT got 5..
MG got 1
and one not specified.

NO, not tax deductible. While MAAC is a not-for-profit - it isn't an dcan't be a charity

Can maac set up a foundation to give tax receipts.

Even more interesting when you investigate the details of what the numbers mean, and what the various acronyms mean.
For example, donations to the museum are typically in the form of old plans, kits, magazines etc. a friend of mine was a significant contributor this past year, some real gems from his collection are now in MAAC's capable hands.
