2.4GHZ
I got this from Mark Betuzzi chairman of the Radio Spectrum.

RE: 2.4GHZ
There has been some traffic about modifying existing (72 MHZ) systems to this technology. I'm not sure this will apply, but I have some experience of changing frequency bands and often a new antenna of different length is required. Also I doubt whether a modified set would be considered Industry Canada approved.

RE: 2.4GHZ
ORIGINAL: DSLarkin There has been some traffic about modifying existing (72 MHZ) systems to this technology. I'm not sure this will apply, but I have some experience of changing frequency bands and often a new antenna of different length is required. Also I doubt whether a modified set would be considered Industry Canada approved. Specifically the motion passed was: "The MAAC safety code be changed to include the operation of 2.4 GHz R/C systems when used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and Industry Canada regulations." since changing the transmitter would not be in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and Industry Canada regulations you MAAC insurance would be VOID!!! PLUS any CLUB that would let you fly this change at there field there insurance would not cover them if something bad was to happen. |
