Looks nice. I like the periscopes....did they furnish the aux scopes for driver & bow gunner?

How much was shipping,

The only thing that seems odd is why they wouldn't have cast the whole hull. A whole hull would have been less intimidiating to someone who is new at this, and it forces you to aquire a Mato hull from somewhere. IF they had cast the whole hull, a person could have got a Tamiya tub, Mato metal suspension, and track and been ready to kit bash this combo.

Making the whole hull is quite expensive (material for the mold is much more than the resin itself), and would be rather fragile in shipping.

Oh I know. I do a lot of casting myself, and even resin is not cheap, when we are talking a whole hull, but this does mean the purchasers has to aquire a Mato tank. I suppose this way you could use the back half of a Tamiya hull to create a Hybrid as well.

Hello, yes price for resin or silicon is not small. Stepan makes forms of very quality silicon, Sherman  form set  weighs 12 kg and production is max 25 conversions/ form set.  For example Panther conversion - only  hull form is 15 kg silicon ,  all resin parts are produced in vacuum casting machine. Master model creates CNC milling machine.,t<span c="4" pc="null" closure_uid_9e4x8a="258" a="undefined" class="short_text" lang="en" id="result_box"><span pc="null" closure_uid_9e4x8a="945" class="hps">his production</span> <span pc="null" closure_uid_9e4x8a="946" class="hps">is</span> <span pc="null" closure_uid_9e4x8a="947" class="hps">generally</span> <span pc="null" closure_uid_9e4x8a="948" class="hps">expensive</span> <span pc="null" closure_uid_9e4x8a="949" class="hps">thing.</span></span>

Not to mention if there was a full hull the price would go by at least another 100€,
On the plus side there seems to be very good hatch detail though it looks like you will have to add your own hatch pins and just like other kits your own main gun pivots

Looks good but it's way down on the list for me. [] The Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33b is before it.

I succumbed to the temptation. I have one on the way. The casting looks incredible, on par with the finest Resin car models I used to dabble in.

This fixes all the visual problems of the Mato Sherman in one kit, seeing a completed painted model would probably convince me to break out the credit card, but I suppose it'd be sold out by then!

What sort of gun control and turret control does it accept?  Does it work with Mato or HL gun elevation and turret rings?  Is it Tamiya?  Will it accept an Asiatam recoil or an HL airsoft gun (replace the gun tube with copper tubing)?

there's usually zero provision for any kind of mechanism mounting in these kits. The turret will have a lump cast onto the bottom to make it sit in the hole in the mato hull, but you will have to drill your own mounting holes for the gear ring.
Tank modelbau usually come out with a replacement gun and sleeve that can be fitted in place of the resin one.

Yes, those kits are not much rc-friendly for what concerns movements, recoil, etc...
