Default Glow to Gas - How Do You Figure It?

Hope this isn't too stupid a question. I am buying a Fokker D-VII that was powered quite well with a Supertigre 3000 and I want to convert to gas. As a general rule of thumb, how do you go about determining what the best equivalent gas engine would be to replace a glow engine with? Is there a standard formula that can be used for any conversion?

Thanks

Loopman

No standard "formula" that I have ever seen. You probably will be good with a 40cc engine on the Fokker. I would probably put a light 50cc on it and use good throttle management....

Add 20% to the displacement for the gas version. Dan.
