Hello everyone and cheers from Argentina... I come here for the following reason:
I've been reading a lot about R/C lately because I really want to get into it, and I realized Drifting is what I'm looking for, my main issue is: here in Argentina we lack variety and quality for this hobby in terms of products, plus we're having some really heavy problems with Aduanas and stuff in the past few years so I can't be really confident to buy something outside... just because I don't know if it will get to my home.
Here comes my main doubts: I've been searching a looooooooot and I hardly find some Exceed and Redcat chassis, which are the lowest quality, then I found out some Thunder Tiger items were available, and last and best I can get is an HPI E10 or Sprint 2 Drift. I know everyone will tellme GET A TAMIYA TT01 hehe, but I'm telling you there's no chance to get one here in my country, and if I do... well I hope nothing brakes because there's no hobby shop selling <span lang="en" class="short_text" id="result_box"><span class="hps">replacement ooooor hop ups in case I want to make any upgrade.
I hope you guys can lend me a hand here because I really want to get involve with this, and I apreciate any help you can give to me.

Thanks for the reply, for the Sprint 2 Drift I read that the sensor tends to overheat and the car sometimes "cog", I just read one case anyway... on the other hand I know this model doesn't use driver shaft, instead it has a betl, I have a few doubts about the lifetime drinting with it, am I wrong?

Many drifters prefer belts as it is easier to swap gears on them. Swapping gears enables countersteer mods, which sends more power to the Rear wheels, with percentages ranging from 25% to 90%. This allows the wheels to be turned in the opposite direction of the drift, giving a more scale and realistic drift movement. This is more difficult to accomplish with the gear setups of shaft driven cars. Belts and countersteer mods do have disadvantages, including being more prone to wear from dirt and being more difficult to run in a grip format with a CS mod.
It depends on what you want. A belt drive drifter could be a very good drifter, but perhaps limited to drifting. Some shaft drive cars could be used for grip or rally in the future, however belt drive is still the preference for high performance touring cars.
It is nearly impossible to get a complete everything car, so It depends on what you aim to do and what you don't necessarily need.

All right. Had an E10 for 4 months. Upgrade centre shaft, motor to 15t, driveshafts, motor mount, pinion gear 23t, blue bearings, aluminum chassis and upper deck and rear spool. Worked amazing!! Now just recently 1 way lock the front and all hell has broken loose. Like no power, got this screaming crunchy sound from the front. Went back to stocker and still there. All gears, driveshafts and diff connections are all good. Sufficient lubrication and bearings good. Anyone one have insight to why I'm loosing power and have this sound like the car is dying.
Also just bought a sprint 2 sport and converted to a 300kv castle FTC and runs amazing! Heard about some shroud or guard you can get or buy for rears diff and belts. Any insight on that? Hopefully someone can help me out with tips for the sprint as I am also a noob. Tried other forums but a lot are just dead or complete idiotic deuces!! Hope this one is different.
