Hi all, I wanted to find a clear plastic canopy for my trex 450 pro kit... one that I can paint myself. There are lots of plain white canopies, but I can't find a clear (see-through) one. The covers for RC cars used to come in clear plastic and they're great because you can paint them from the inside so they remain looking glossy due to the plastic on the outside.

I've checked all over and I can't seem to find any (at least, any in stock). Please let me know if you know where I might find one.

Not saying that they dont make them....but Ive not seen them.

If you decide to paint your own fiberglass one.  Just use automotive clear coat to get the glossy look you like. 

Im starting to custom paint my own canopies as I like to be different.  I'll try and remember to update this thread with my work so you can see for yourself what clearcoat looks like over top of paint.

Have a couple canopies ready to paint now...just probably wont have time to spray any paint till the week between Christmas and New Years.
