How Do I Stop the E-mails?

This forum never ceases to amaze me. It has without a doubt the worst software of ANY forum I belong to, BAR NONE!
Not only is your search function a joke, now, all of a sudden, any thread I respond too is automaticly subscribed to & I get my inbox clogged W/e-mails.
I can find no place to stop this annoyance.
It started a few weeks ago & I have done nothing to initiate this.
Someone tell me how to make it stop!
For one thing, your subsciption function is worthless as I can't find a way to make the subscribed threads come up when I log in. Now I get all these unwanted e-mails.
I want to see my subscribed treads when I log in. I DO NOT want countless e-mails clogging up my inbox.
Between your BS rules on posting PIX, constant post Nanny deleteions, pathetic search function, frequent 504 errors, & now this e-mail crap, this forum is the worst I have ever frequented.

To change your settings so that you don't automatically subscribe to a thread when you post you need to click on the "Settings" tab at the upper right of any RCU screen (other than the main home page). Once there scroll down to the "My Preferences" section. On the second item in that section deselect "<span style="font-family: verdana, arial; font-size: 11px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);">Always Subscribe to threads when I post" </span>to turn that feature off.<div>
</div><div>I would like to apologize for the frustrations you are having. Unfortunately RCU is a victim of it's own success. When RCU was first started the owners selected a forum software to use for their platform. Over the years whenever they needed new features they would write their own code to accomplish what was needed. This made RCU a very VERY specialized software over the years. In addition, the maker of the original software has gone out of business so there is no support from them. </div><div>
</div><div>The other issue involved is the sheer size of RCU. RCU is a huge software package that spans many different servers and many different operating systems, which makes any move something that must be done very carefully. When RCU was purchased by Internet Brands 2 years ago unfortunately several things "broke" during the move to the new server farm, and the new owners have spent a lot of time to fix those problems. However, IB does know that RCU needs upgraded and that is in the process of happening. Unfortunately I don't have a target date at this time as when that will roll out, but rest assured it is coming. As I said, the size of RCU means that any move to a new software package must be done very carefully to make sure it works properly.</div><div>
</div><div>Once again, I do apologize for your problems. But as I said, change is coming and RCU will be bigger and better once it's finished.</div><div>

OK thanks for the help.
I did as instructed & sure enough the box was checked. I was on that page, but I was looking for some sort of e-mail catagory. The box was knnda hidden.
That brings up the question: How did the box get checked in the 1st place? If it is a default setting, I never got any e-mails until the last week or so.
Strange!

My Feedback: (3)
I want to see my subscribed treads when I log in.
On the other hand, if you want to visit only a few forums, you can set up "My Forums" and select just those forums you want to visit. Then when you log in, you can click on "My Forums" and when it opens, go over to the right top of the page and click "New Posts". Only new posts in your "My Forums" will appear.
I use the latter option, and seldom subscribe to threads.
Good luck,
Dave Olson

I was surprised Ken didn't mention this, but if you go to the bottom of the thread you want to see... click on the ''Subscribe'' icon... you will get an Email when the thread has a new post. In that Email, you can click on a link, which will take you to the new post.
